September 2009 — "I had to make a last minute trip to Calgary and needed to rent a car. Basically I just wanted to rent with whoever has the lowest price. Usually that's Budget rental cars. Since Budget's prices looked quite high (when booking online) I tried out the prices at National and found them to be half the price of Budget! The last few times I've rented from Budget, and especially the last time I rented from them in June of this year, the customer service was disinterested--and I am not even sure if they made eye-contact. It made my experience with National all that much more surprising and pleasant. When I arrived in Calgary, my information was all ready at the National desk with the speficifc car that I requested (never so at Budget) and the service at the counter was efficient and courteous--and with a smile! When in the parking lot looking confused looking for the car, an attendent appeared out of no where to show me where the car was. When I returned the car, an attendent (in a very nice uniform) appeared before I turned the car off even. He asked how the car was, and offered to get me cart for my luggage. Before I had a chance to take my suitcaase out of the trunk, he had finished his inspection and printed me off a receipt! Again, all of this with a smile. It was a level of professionalism I haven't seem for a long time anywhere in Calgary. I highly recommend this company."
